The first double-degree training program jointly organised by China and CEE, the Fudan-Corvinus Double Degree MBA Program, has been launched with the professional support of the Central Bank of Hungary.

The first class, i.e. altogether 18 students have started their studies the joint MBA program of the Chinese Fudan University and the Budapest Corvinus University. As the Fudan-Corvinus Double Degree MBA program proved to be extremely popular, applications are already open for the second class, starting in autumn 2019 – as announced at the opening ceremony held in the House of Wisdom.

At the event, GyörgyMatolcsy, Governor of the Central Bank of Hungary and Zoltán Szántó, Vice-rector of the Budapest Corvinus University welcomed the participants of the program together with the guests invited to the ceremony. Besides the welcoming speeches of the Governor and the Vice-rector, Xu Ningsheng, Rector of Fudan University and Vice-rector Chen Zhimin also welcomed the students as well as the professors and teachers of the program in a video message.

The target group of the program includes public organisations, corporations, and also employees of the financial sector which have a vested interest in the special culture, economy, and innovative educational methods of China and Asia, or wish to make use of such knowledge during their work.

The program represents a unique opportunity in the field of leadership training. Participants can get an insight into the recent trends of business management, and they can also acquire international methodological knowledge by participating in intensive in-class debates, the analysis of regional and international cases, simulation exercises, and business projects.

Having completed their studies, students of the Fudan-Corvinus Double Degree MBA Program obtain the Master of Finance (MSc) and the BCE Master of Business Administration (MSc MBA) degrees of Fudan University. The program, which practically represents a gap filler both in Hungary and in the entire CEE region, is of key importance to the Pallas Athéné Foundations as a training course in line with their goals and objectives, and thus the foundations provide grants to it; within the framework of this scholarship, bursaries and exclusive educational venues are granted for the program.

The Central Bank of Hungary (MNB), the Chinese Fudan University, listed among the best universities of the world, and the Budapest Corvinus University signed a tripartite co-operation agreement at the beginning of October 2018 on the implementation of an innovative financial training program, which would be the first Chinese educational program of the region. The agreement was signed at the preparatory event of “The Pre-Forum Session of Shanghai Forum 2019” conference, which was jointly organised by the Central Bank of Hungary, Fudan University (Shanghai), and the Pallas Athéné Domus Sapientiae (PADS) Foundation in the House of Wisdom.
