University of São Paulo, Hungarian language and culture training course

There has been a training course on Hungarian language and culture at the Brazilian University of São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo) since 2015 owing to the financial subsidization of the Pallas Athéné Domus Sapientiae Foundation and the professional support of Eötvös Loránd University. It expresses the success of this free of charge course (that is open for everybody) of the Department of Oriental Languages at the Faculty of Humanities that the open places are filled in a matter of minutes and there are long waiting lists; currently there are more than one-hundred students learning Hungarian in eight classes. In relation to the course there is also an annual conference, the Hungarians in Brazil Conference that, over and above processing the history of Hungarian immigration to Brazil, features lectures on Hungarianness. Ceará State University, Hungarian language and culture training course

The Lectorate of Hungarian Language started to operate at the Language Centre of the Faculty of Humanities, Ceará State University (Universidade Estadual do Ceará) in September 2017 owing to the financial subsidization of the Pallas Athéné Domus Sapientiae Foundation and the professional support of Eötvös Loránd University. In March 2018 Hungarian language education started witgin the offical frameworks of the university’s Language Lectorate. This year 40 university students will get credits for the successful completion of the semester, whereas 30 additional people interested in the Hungarian language have participated in language course level trainings.
